WHILE THE BOARD’S DEDICATION TO OTHER PRINCIPLES SUCH AS ACCOUNTING, GRANT APPLICATIONS, EDUCATION, CURRICULUM, AND YES – EVEN PROTECTION OF 1ST AMENDMENT IS APPRECIATED – THEY AREN’T SERVING FREEDOM OR COUNTRY WITH THESE TYPES OF POLICIES.

WORKERS WHO OUR SOCIETY IS INCUMBENT UPON TO THRIVE ARE ENTRUSTING THEIR CHILDREN TO THE SCHOOL AND RELYING ON THE SCHOOL TO UPHOLD COMMUNITY STANDARDS AND TRUTH, AS WELL AS THE SAFETY OF THEIR KIDS. TAXPAYERS WILL SUPPORT THE BOARD IF THEY DO WHAT IS RIGHT!

HOLD SCHOOL BOARDS ACCOUNTABLE TO IDAHO LAW BY:

  • DEMAND BOARDS ADOPT A FOUNDATIONAL AUTHORITY OF STATE LAW, TO WHICH STATE SCHOOL BOARDS, FEDERAL GUIDELINES, ALA RECOMMENDATIONS, ETC. SHALL BE SUBJECT TO.
  • SEND LETTERS OF SUPPORT TO THE IDAHO LEGISLATORS FOR HB 314 AND/OR DEMANDING PROTECTION OF OUR KIDS!
  • WRITE THE ATTORNEY GENERAL ABOUT YOUR CONCERNS WITH REGARD TO SCHOOL BOARD OVERREACH.
  • DEMAND BETTER BOOK REVIEW & LIBRARY POLICIES OR SIMPLY MODIFY YOUR OWN BOARD POLICIES WITH SENSIBLE RESTRICTIONS, RATHER THAN BLINDLY ADOPT THE MESS FROM THE A.L.A. JUST SAY NO TO THE A.L.A!
  • DEMAND EXPRESS INFORMED CONSENT FOR ANY INAPPROPRIATE MATERIALS / ISSUANCE OF LIBRARY CARDS IN SCHOOLS.
  • DEMAND A RATING SYSTEM FOR ANY SCHOOL BOOKS THAT MAY FALL THROUGH THE CRACKS.
  • DEMAND TRANSPARENCY IN BOOK PURCHASING.
  • DEMAND THAT TEACHERS BE HELD LIABLE FOR DISSEMENATION OF HARMFUL MATERIALS IN THEIR PRIVATE CLASS LIBRARIES.
  • FIGHT BACK AGAINST TYRANNICAL BOARD MEETINGS – DEMAND TO BE HEARD!
  • DEMAND THAT BOARDS POST AGENDAS TIMELY AND NOTIFY THE PUBLIC OF THE DATES OF MEETINGS A MINIMUM OF TWO WEEKS PRIOR TO THE MEETINGS.
  • DEMAND BOARDS UTILIZE ELECTIONS FOR BOARD MEMBERS INSTEAD OF SLIPPING IN NEW APPOINTEES TO “REPLACE” THOSE STEPPING DOWN EVERY TIME IT GETS CLOSE TO VOTING TIME.
  • WRITE YOUR SCHOOL BOARD LETTERS OF SUPPORT FOR DOING THE RIGHT THING!
  • SPREAD THIS INFORMATION!
  • TREAT EACH OTHER WITH RESPECT. DO NOT BLINDLY BELIEVE THINGS OR DISCOUNT OTHERS IN ORDER TO PROTECT YOUR OWN IDENTITY CONSTRUCT OR AVOID CONFLICT OR RESPONSIBILITY FOR DOING YOUR OWN RESEARCH. SHOW KIDS HOW HEALTHY ADULTS USE FACTS TO RESOLVE DIFFERENCES.
